Vero Moda sweater - New Yorker backpack - Claire's necklace and glasses - H&M ring
2011/2012 Another year has passed us by and I just can't believe it. It all went so fast! I want to thank you all so much for all the support you guys gave me and for all the followers! I'm going to spend my evening eating new year's food and playing guitar. I wasn't really in the mood for a party, also because I'm a little ill, so I'm gonna pass that part this year. I hope you all will have a great 2012 and I will see you next year. Love, Demi
PS. This is what I meant by 'showing outfits through photography'. I wore this today and I will make these kind of photographs for you guys to show it, but also as 'photography post'. I hope you like it :)
Sweet readers, I thought it would be nice to share with you my taste of music.
When I was little, listening to my father's music, I used to describe it as 'old cowboy men' and 'old black men'. Which now means: country and blues/soul. Growing up I tried to fit in listening to rap, but finding out in a couple of years I actually hated it. I really started to have a good music taste when I went to high school. I borrowed a lot of my dad's cd's and rolled into country. I know what you're thinking: country? Seriously? Well, yes. Seriously! I think don't know country good enough to clearly judge it. So let me introduce you! I also added two other songs I just love because they're awesome. Love, Demi
Playing For Change - Stand By Me My dad played this song at lunch just today and of course I already knew the song but I just love this version! These are very talented people all around the world who have made this production for charity. I would love to have grandpa elliot as my grandpa, he's an adorable old man!
Pistol Annies - Lemon Drop Pistol Annies are my absolute favourite girl group excisting! Found out about them through my father (again, haha) and well, I fell in love with their album 'Hell On Heels'. This song has such great lyrics! Especially the chorus is genius!
Brad Paisley - This Is Country Music The intro makes me speachless everytime. Aint got nothing more to say about this, you should really just go listen to it!
Foster The People - Call It What You Want If you don't love Foster The People, you totally suck! Heard 'Pumped Up Kicks' first which was already awesome, but this song's also really really good!
John Denver - Leaving On A Jetplane This is just one of those classic songs that will remain amazing till I die. I love John Denver thanks to my dad and my best friend Thomas sings this a lot. It's just really good!
Well, I hope you kind of changed your vision on country. And if not: of course I'll respect every other music genre you love! Because music is something that's amazing in every single way. I just happen to love it in a country way :)
H&M top, scarf and brush - New Yorker backpack - Claire's glasses - Lemon necklaces
New. I had a great day yesterday with my friend Marlous in Utrecht. I really love Utrecht and the shops there. We first went to H&M where I bought an amazingly warm scarf for only eight euros (!). Than I bought fake glasses at Claire's, no idea when I'll wear them but they look so nice. After a long walk we found this cute little shop called Lemon with all kinds of super cheap accesoires. I bought two necklaces there for only four euros each ánd they were second/half price! Before we went back to Tiel, we found the New Yorker where I bought a cute backpack for only six euros. I love it! It was a great day and I bought some really nice things. Love, Demi
Christmas. Dear bloggers, where the hell have I been is probably what you've been thinking. I know, what a shame. I just have a quick announcement to maken for y'all: I won't be posting any real 'outfit posts' anymore. I kind of changed as a blogger and I will probably still post but more photography and less head-to-toe pictures. I hope you don't mind and I hope you'll enjoy seeing my style and clothes back through photography!
But for now: Merry Christmas and a Happy 2012 to y'all! God bless and make this new year rock! Let's hope the world doesn't end but live life like it does!
About the bloggermeeting: It probably won't be coming this holiday. There are a few bloggers who can't make it already and of course it's more fun when we can all make it. But no worries, we'll try it again next holidays :)
Pictures by me and Yasmin 1. Close-up from me, I kind of get a stormy feeling with this one. 2. Blurry, left-out picture from an outfit last week. The blurryness really works here. 3. A candle, an obsession
Hello sweet readers, This is my latest video: a cover of 'The One That Got Away' by Katy Perry. I made it together with 'iPadCovers', a boy who creates instrumentals on his iPad. I really loved his video's and he loved mine so he asked me to do a video together. We have put a lot of effort in it and it took a lot of time (reason for my absense) but we think it turned out pretty well! I hope you enjoy it and please subscribe if you have a youtube account. Love, Demi
H&M cardigan, lace top - Vintage cut off shorts - Action ring - Deichmann brogues
Wow, I didn't realise how bad these pictures are untill now. Because the weather was awful today, I decided to try something new. Well, I failed that :) Haha, I hope you can enjoy these pictures since it's of course about the clothes. I think I just need a little better lighting and it'll be fine in the end. See you soon, Demi
Yesterday I pre-celebrated Sinterklaas with my mom, dad, sister and grandma and grandpa. It was so nice! I got a lot of cool stuff, which I'll show you tomorrow. I love how it's getting darker earlier and earlier, so I can light candles in my room. Right now, I'm so excited for christmas! I'm going to shoot a really cool christmas video with my friend Thomas, how awesome! Are you excited for x-mas? See you soon, Demi
H&M sweater - New Yorker zipper jeans - Takko jacket - Primark shoes, ring - David Jones bag
Hey, It's an outfit post? Yes it is in fact, haha. After an uninspirational period I'm back on track. I'm really busy working on my first youtube collaboration, planning the blogger-meeting and well: looking nice. I've been very happy today and that kind of shows in the pictures: I never really smile in blog pictures. Tonight I'm going to this club everyone at my school always go to and this weekend I'm celebrating Sinterklaas. Are you still celebrating Sinterklaas? See you soon, Demi Knight
I really hate it when I'm not feeling well. It's not like I have a fever but I feel like I'm just not myself at the moment. I'm trying to get out of this circle I'm in by finally posting some pictures again, haha. I hope you've had the patience to wait for a new post. I hope inspiration will arrive to me any minute, because I'm really running out of it. Love, Demi
